BRIEF HISTORY AND DISCRIPTION OF THE SCHOOL |

| St. Ignatius College Ħaż-Żebbuġ Primary School is one of the oldest schools in Malta. It is a well-known fact that the building was used as a school between the first and second world wars. The old part of the building hosts the Kinder classes, while the adjacent and interconnected refurbished building, hosts the Primary classes.
The school building is spread on a large area and is situated in the heart of Ħaż-Żebbuġ, with entrances on the front and back of the premises. Facilities comprise of 2 yards, a gym, a library, 2 halls, a multi-sensory room and peripatetic rooms. The number of pupils attending Ħaż-Żebbuġ Primary in the 2020-2021 scholastic year, reached over 570.
The school carries a very high profile and therefore it has a very good name and reputation with the people of Ħaż-Żebbuġ. The pupils come from different backgrounds, yet they all have high expectations and aspirations.
Ħaż-Żebbuġ Primary school aims at achieving these expectations and therefore it caters for individual needs, while it engages in offering the pupils and their families a holistic, quality education, the first major step towards life-long learning. |
