College Vision

The College vision is to empower ALL learners to value knowledge and acquire 21st century skills to help them develop as life-long learners. This will enable them to participate in the global world in a socially just, ethical, and creative manner.

College Mission Statement

St. Ignatius College is a professional learning community with the mission of planning and delivering meaningful learning experiences (in schools and the wider community) for ALL learners to ensure their holistic academic, emotional, and social growth. The College community shares in the collective responsibility of nurturing ALL learners along the educational path in responsive learning settings.

College Philosophy of Education

St. Ignatius College believes in a humanistic and socially just educational approach to foster learners’ innate desire for learning to help them achieve their full personal and academic potential. The College is committed:

  • To consciously create an environment of respect and inclusion to recognize and respond effectively to learners’ diversity.
  • To continuously promote the intellectual development and social growth of all stakeholders, i.e. educators, learners, and parents.
  • To provide responsive learning settings, where learners can explore and clarify their own beliefs and values, take risks, and think and speak for themselves.
